short term contract agency

Andres Aguerrevere: Short Term Contracts Within Reach

Searching for an agency to fulfill your business needs?

A lot of agencies require long term contracts or commitments. Most of these agencies would require a minimum of 3 months and may even go to the extent of 12 months. Wegacha is not your typical agency. We have Andres Aguerrevere today, CEO and founder of Wegacha, an agency based in South Florida, USA.

While most agencies have long term contracts, Wegacha decided to go against that. Wegacha works with their clients on a monthly basis. A lot of their services are in a monthly basis too.

Wegacha offers a variety of services such as:

  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Social Media Optimization
  • PPC & Ad Management
  • Reputation Management
  • Email Marketing
  • Conversion Optimization
  • Web Design & Build
  • Graphic Design & Illustration
  • Branding & Identity
  • Video Editing
  • Content & Copywriting
  • Industrial Design & Dev

Welcome to The Thoughtful Entrepreneur Show. I'm Josh Elledge, founder and CEO of UpMyInfluence.com, where we turn entrepreneurs into media celebrities, grow their authority, and help them build partnerships with top influencers. So we believe that every person has a unique message that can positively impact the world. Even you stick around to the end of this show, where I'll share info on how you could be our next guest, three times a week, five to 15 minutes each learn from successful business owners and professionals. It's time to get inspired. Let's go. All right, Andres Aguerrevere, you're the founder and CEO of Wegacha and Wegacha  is a is an agency you're based in South Florida. So not fellow Floridian and I really wanted to have you on real quick to talk about something that I think every agency owner needs to consider and learn from your experience. Because as an agency, you guys have you guys are doing pretty good business, right?

1:08

Yeah, yeah, for sure. We've been growing very nicely, in the past two years has been exponential growth and something good, we must be doing. Yeah. So

1:19

well. And I'll tell you just in the agency world, so you know, as we work with clients, one thing that we've chosen to do, and I know you guys have gone down this path as well, is that you don't require long term contracts or commitments. And that sounds scary, I think, to a lot of agencies out there, because they want to hook a client in for three months, six months a year. But you guys actually decided against that. And so you work month to month with your clients, and a lot of your services, are there month to month services, these aren't you know, you do a lot of, you know, marketing and growth type services. So can you kind of talk about that and why you guys opted for that model?

2:10

Yeah. Excellent. Like you said, it's a scary. But it's important that people feel comfortable when doing business with a with an agency. I mean, I Haley contract my whole life. example of that is the carriers, the gyms, you can name it, there's a lot of things that you need to the rent of the apartment, or the leasing of the car. And there's a lot of startup that has contracts in between, and they're always a pain. So we decided to get rid of contracts and do a month to month basis.

2:46

service. And

2:48

yeah, and that has been a key point of our growth people really like that, that in when we get leads and leads, talk to our project manager that that salespeople, that's one of the questions, the first questions they ask, they don't want to be holding the contract, they don't want to be attached for the company to the company for who knows how many times how many months. So that's something really important that we offer. And it's also scary for agencies that actually work in the contract method, because to actually take that step and change to a month to month basis. It's kind of a hard thing to do. Because you you've been doing contracts and just, you know, blocking people's money for a couple of months. Now you have to deliver, you know, have to deliver for them. Otherwise, they'll just

3:39

they'll just go.

3:40

So an important part of that is letting the customer know that there's no there's no contract at all, but the client, the person needs to understand that for some of the businesses that were there the services that we offer, it does take some time to actually start seeing the ROI. You know, the marketing is not a one to one thing. But they need to understand that in a couple months, they will start getting the ROI. But they're not actually held to that contract. So they can just leave it they don't want it. They don't like things about your company or whatever. And that's the freedom of doing business with us. Yeah.

4:26

So talk about what you think that that will kind of an impact this could have or had for you in terms of conversion rate and winning deals.

4:35

Yeah, we've never worked with contract based method. So I

4:40

can't do more now after but I know what your win rate is. So

4:44

that's good, for sure. I mean, I mean, I can see it. On my sales. People tell me that most of the times when they be clients, or when they get phone calls on where they get emails, and feedbacks and chatting and everything. Actually, one of the first things that they ask, they get asked is about the contract the contract partner, am I my attached to something? Am I do I have to sign a six month contract? We had to sign a one year contract? And the answer is always No. So that way, after our salespeople tells him No, then the conversation starts to happen, you know, the sale starts to actually have a have a meaning. Because I'm just I'm just guessing. But if you if someone calls you to ask for your services, and then you tell them that there's a six month or a year contract, that conversation might end. That's a going to when you tell him that Yeah, you have to you have to be attached to us for six months. So I just don't want that by looking for someone else. You know that? I'm pretty sure that happens a lot.

5:50

Yeah. And what kind of reaction Do you normally get? So I think just based on Howdy, let me ask you a two part question. Number one, how do you guys attract new clients? And the number two? What kind of reaction Do you normally hear as you're dealing with a prospective client? Who is maybe looking at a couple of agencies? Because you know, what you do? You know, there's, you've got competition. I mean, there's other service providers in the space. You do SEO, Social Media Design content. So there, you know, there are other agencies in that space. So I'm curious about, again, you know, client acquisition, and you know, what, what kind of feedback Do you hear from them?

6:34

Okay. So most of our client acquisition is organic, where we're pretty focused on SEO, we're pretty focused on email marketing, we're pretty focused on and doing some reputation management. So we're not doing a lot of sem right now. We're just focusing a lot of on organic. From time to time, we decided, depending on the period of the year, we obviously decided to use Google ads for Facebook ads, or even Instagram sometimes. Yeah, basically, the the power, we focus a lot on the power of reviews testimonials, for our clientele, and for customers, or leads. So for me my opinion, there's no nothing more powerful than a positive review or passive or passive testimonial. That's the point of the rate of conversion, based on a video and or review of someone saying that basically, they use the services, and they're super happy, they continuously

7:48

use the

7:50

gadget services, we got to be doing marketing, we got to design anything. And I mean, cells almost on there, you know, someone else Elledge saying these guys are great. And give them five points, and give them five star reviews for their for their services, and the communication and the achievement that you sold and everything. That's for us a very important thing to focus on. So yeah, we focus a lot on organic marketing right now these days?

8:24

Well, that's, that's really great. What would you recommend for someone who's new as an agency owner, and maybe they don't have the footprint? I mean, what you're talking about is, you know, it's farming as opposed to hunting. How long? I mean, that's, it feels like more of a long term play for someone who's just kind of earlier stage with their agency. How did you get to that point?

8:45

Yeah, that's a great question. I mean, in my opinion,

8:51

you gotta crawl before you walk, right? I mean,

8:55

you doing, doing, being a small agency, doing some paid advertising, could maybe grow, could maybe get you a lot of leads that maybe will slip from your head, you know, because you, you might not be prepared to handle those amount of leads. Or if you if you think you're prepared, then you just misread that, and the word you do for them, it's just not great enough, and they'll just go away. So our approach my approach, when I lunch was start from zero, not investment at all, just a word of mouth, just a referral, and, and charging, charging a very decent amount for each project. So that way, you get more projects, and you start building portfolio.

9:52

So when you say decent, just lower your price point a little bit initially, seeing get the momentum going exactly do good work. Let the word of mouth flow.

10:01

Exactly. So that's how we did it. And we started by building a very powerful portfolio of websites of case studies, digital market case studies and everything, by getting a lot of work, because we were charging lower rates than the competition. So our growth was slow, but very steady. So that way,

10:31

after we after a couple of months of building that portfolio, and

10:37

that,

10:39

that the testimonials, their reviews, the great engagement that we have with our clientele, and everything that the lead and the leads we have,

10:50

then we started to look for bigger steps, you know, so good.

10:57

Yeah, yeah, I like that. I think that's a really great illustration. I have a timeline for, you know, a great plan, a great growth plan for someone who wants to begin their own agency. And so under. How long ago did you did you guys start? We gotcha.

11:14

Yeah. Like I said, it's very young. We started July of 2017.

11:19

Wow. And you guys are already I mean, you have a good book of business, like on your website. You know, clearly you guys are hustling. Really great. We're about

11:29
