Revealed: How a single post can get click-throughs for years

How can a single post land you click-throughs for YEARS? Find out on this week’s episode of The Thoughtful Entrepreneur, featuring Pinterest expert Kathryn Moorhouse.

Kathryn got her start when working as a nanny. She began sewing clothes for the children she babysat so they could paint and make messes without ruining their clothes. She began to successfully market her business and soon someone asked her to babysit their Facebook page while they were gone. Afterward, she asked if there was anything else she could help with.

And that’s how her journey in Pinterest Marketing began. Soon, she became the go-to expert for helping high performing entrepreneurs grow their audience and income using Pinterest.

Kathryn fell in love with Pinterest for several reasons, including that it is a search engine and not a social media platform.

“Pinterest is kind of like Instagram and Google had a baby,” Kathryn said.

She said that Pinterest amplifies your reach – not just with the number of views, but with the length of time the pin will be seen. With Pinterest, the content stays up indefinitely, so a pin can lead to click-throughs for literally years. While you can repin it to new boards to draw attention to it, you’ll never have to come up with a new image or new copy and the pin will always lead to the original URL.

Additionally, Pinterest features posts on just about anything you could imagine. Whether it’s what shoes to buy for winter or how to floss your teeth properly – it’s on Pinterest.

“All of these things you’ve never thought of are in these pins that businesses have created,” Kathryn said.

She said that while “there’s a space for everything,” it’s important to decide whether or not Pinterest is the right platform for your business.

To hear more about what Kathryn has to say about the benefits of marketing with Pinterest and some tips for success, listen to the episode above and be sure to subscribe to The Thoughtful Entrepreneur on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, TuneIn, Spotify or any other podcasting platform.
